Synergy Clinic Helpful Tip

Use extra virgin olive oil or avocado instead of butter or margarine. These are high in unsaturated fats for lowering cholesterol and in moderation are great for fat loss.

Eat wholegrain high protein, low carb breads like Baker's Delight Capeseed Loaf or RYE Pane Di Casa Loaf. For fat loss limit to one piece of bread.

Spiced Cowboy Steak - Serves 2

Ingredients
1 tsp ground cummin
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp dried thyme
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
2 medium garlic cloves, crushed
350g sirloin steak (fat removed)
1 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil (best in spray bottle)
Serve with sautéed onion + steamed basmati or brown rice + salad.

Method
Pre-heat grill (or bbq or cast iron grill plate). Line a baking tray with foil.
In a bowl combine cumin, ginger, thyme, cayenne + garlic.
Remove fat from steak. Spoon spice mix over both sides of steak + press in with back of a spoon. Brush or spray both sides of steak with ev olive oil.
Leave for 15 mins whilst you steam the rice + sautee onions in oil over med heat.
Place steak on foil lined tray + under grill (or directly onto bbq or grill plate).
Grill for 5 mins. Turn + grill for 4-5 mins for medium rare. Sprinkle with seasalt to taste.
